Henry Cho

About Me

Henry began his career as a musical theater actor and has since pursued various facets of theater, both onstage and behind the scenes. His passion for technical theater emerged at Rumsey Hall School, where his art teacher recognized his artistic potential and recommended him for roles as a stage manager and set designer.
Since joining St. Paul’s School as a sophomore in 2022, Henry has continued to thrive as an actor, taking on leading roles, including the main character in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in the spring of 2023. Simultaneously, he expanded his expertise into technical theater, diving into costume and set design. He served as the head of costume design for the 2023 and 2024 One Acts Festival, winning multiple awards for his innovative designs.
In early 2024, Henry shifted his focus to directing and playwriting. Drawing from his diverse theater experience, he was appointed as assistant director of The Addams Family musical under the mentorship of his director, Kirsten McKinney. Over the summer, he directed and debuted his original, award-winning play, Breathe Love In, Breathe Love Out, at the Union City Theater Festival.
Henry is the assistant director and dramaturg for Sense and Sensibility at St. Paul’s this fall. His play Breathe Love In, Breathe Love Out is set to be showcased at the 2025 St. Paul’s School One Acts Festival, sharing his original work with his school community.
